Overview
The Secure File Transfer system is an internal SaaS platform for Premium Technology’s business team to share sensitive client and product data.
The redesign focused on making secure file exchange more approachable for the people who use it as part of their internal workflow.

The existing file-transfer experience needed a clearer, more private way to share client and FinShare product data internally.
As the sole product designer, I needed to shape the experience around the business team’s needs while accounting for the technical constraints of the existing system.

Research & Discovery
I created low- and high-fidelity screens in Figma and reviewed other secure file-transfer products to compare their structures and interaction patterns.
I also worked with the development team to understand the system’s technical limits and how the file-transfer flow would behave in code.

Finding the clearest path through the work.
I kept the interface simple, using the company’s blue brand colors and familiar patterns to make key actions easier to recognize.
Navigation and buttons were designed for clarity and accessibility, with the needs of a non-technical business team in mind.

The redesign delivered a simpler internal tool with clearer navigation for the business team.
The final design worked within the existing engineering constraints, including the secure file-transfer system’s legacy Java implementation.
